EFFECTIVE BLOG BUILDING

Building your own blog doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive and is a practical and effective way to connect with your customers.

Anyone can start a blog but not everyone knows how to write a blog that people actually want to read. So before you start map out exactly what you want to achieve.  Take a look at some blogs that you were really captured by and understand what it is they did so that you too can build the same steps.

Keep your blog fresh and share your advice –  demonstrating your knowledge in your field and commenting on upcoming events that maybe relevant.  Also give the reader an insight in to what blogs you are going to be posting in the future, as this will keep your visitors coming back for more?

Be honest with your posts –  Let you readers know when times have been tricky, difficult to get products off the ground or haven’t quite gone the way you had hoped or expected.  A reader will find it endearing that they are not alone when things don’t quite go to plan.  It also gives your readers an insight in to who you are; and sharing these types of stories to others helps you connect with your audience.

Don’t forget to be sociable with your readers – When someone takes the time to make a comment or ask a question, ensure you make time to respond to them and build up that report and loyalty.

Providing information that people want  – Writing relevant and interesting blogs in a user friendly way has a great impact on your readers, from your content to your design and everything in between. The best blogs also feature plenty of photos and if possible videos.

Don’t Blog too often – You don’t have to commit to blogging too often.  However if your audience knows you post once a week or once a month try and stick to it; and make sure you use all your other social media platforms such as instagram and Linkedin to point them to your new blogs.
