For years, I was wearing two masks:
The first was the professional mask.
The branding expert.
The creative.
The business woman.
The person who looked capable, experienced and like she had everything together from the outside. And professionally, I did.
I had decades of experience in branding and design.
I knew how to help businesses communicate clearly and build trust.
But underneath that was a second mask:
The self doubt mask.
The submissive mask.
The woman who had slowly lost confidence in herself through years of being in a controlling and emotionally abusive marriage. The woman who questioned herself constantly. Who kept herself small. Who worried about saying the wrong thing. Who stopped trusting her own instincts and voice.
And carrying those two identities at the same time is exhausting. Because outwardly you appear strong and capable, while internally feeling disconnected from yourself.
That disconnect eventually starts showing up everywhere.
In your confidence.
In your relationships.
In your visibility.
Even in your business.
I know what it feels like to hide behind professionalism while secretly battling self doubt. And I think many midlife women do too. Especially women who have spent years looking after everyone else, adapting to survive, holding things together and putting their own needs, dreams and identity to one side.
Leaving my marriage was not just about leaving a relationship. It was about removing the masks and learning who I really was underneath them. That journey completely changed the way I see branding now, because I realised branding is never just about how your business looks.
It is about identity.
Confidence.
Self trust.
Visibility.
Voice.
And feeling safe enough to truly be seen.
That is why the work I do today goes far deeper than strategy or visuals alone.
I help women reconnect with themselves again. Find clarity in who they are now. Understand the psychology behind why they have been hiding, and build brands that reflect their true value, voice and experience.
Because when a woman stops hiding behind the masks she has worn for years, everything changes.
Not just her brand. Her whole life…
